Meditation and mindfulness in headphones: one voice, no distractions
In guided meditation the voice is everything. In headphones it arrives close, calm and without echo, while the sounds around fade away: even first-time meditators can let themselves be guided, in a studio or in a hall with three hundred people.

The voice, like a private listening
Whoever guides a meditation works with pauses, silences and a low voice. In a large room, at an event or outdoors, that voice competes with air conditioning, footsteps, a vibrating phone, the music from another stage.
In headphones the voice stays a few centimetres away, with no echo and no need to raise it. Everyone sets the volume they like and can keep their eyes closed for the whole practice. It is the ideal setting for mindfulness: attention goes to the breath, the body and the guiding voice, not to the room.
With music or background sounds on the same channel, the experience feels like a personal listening, shared with the group.
What changes in the practice
Pauses stay pauses
No noise fills the silences between sentences: guided pauses work as they should.
Real darkness
Headphone lights off: perfect for yoga nidra, body scans and evening practices.
A low voice all session
Guide a whole hour without straining your voice.
Sounds under the voice
Bowls, nature or ambient music on the same channel, at the level you choose.
From studio to hall
Twenty people or three hundred at an event: the intimacy of the voice is the same.
In another language too
On a second channel the same meditation can arrive translated.
Yoga nidra in headphones, from start to finish
Mats and headphones
Participants lie down with their headphones already on the channel.
The voice in the right place
A short hello to set the volume; then the headphone lights switch off.
Guidance and silence
Body scan, breath, visualisation: the voice stays low and the pauses stay full of silence.
A gradual return
Slowly raise voice or music to bring the group back; then the headphones come off.

Tips for guiding a meditation in headphones
- Speak softer than you think. In headphones even a whisper is clear: lower your tone, not the microphone level.
- Mic to the side. Place the headset beside your mouth so your breath does not blow into it.
- Barely-there music. The background should support the voice, not cover it.
- Comfort first. For lying-down practices choose the soft over-ear: it does not press on a head resting on the mat.

Questions about meditation and mindfulness
Are the headphones uncomfortable lying down?
For practices on the floor we recommend the over-ear SX-839: the soft cups do not press on a head resting on the mat.
Can people meditate without touching anything?
Yes: once the volume is set there is no need to touch the headphones for the whole session.
Can I use a recorded meditation?
Yes: connect a player or phone to the transmitter and the recording reaches every headphone. You can also alternate live guidance and recorded tracks.
Does it work at a busy event?
Yes: it is where headphones make the biggest difference. Even in a crowded hall or next to a stage, meditators hear only the guiding voice.
